Credit Card Security

Groceries4u.com.au uses elaborate technologies to provide transaction security. We use 128-bit SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption through the use of a security certificate provided by eSec. This means that everything is transmitted via encryption and is virtually impossible to unscramble. This feature is absolutely necessary for security of your credit details and with this security feature, entering your credit details is safer than quoting them over the telephone. This is the industry standard for Internet encryption.

Our secure server software encrypts your credit card number, name and address. The encryption process takes the characters you enter and converts them into code that is then securely transmitted over the Internet. Your credit card details are stored in an encrypted format inaccessible from the internet and unknown to anyone at Groceries 4 U. This means no-one can intercept or look at that information.

Groceries4u.com.au uses the eSec payment gateway to process your credit card with your financial institution. This occurs as the last step of the checkout process and you are immediately informed if the transaction is approved and the funds have been transferred. If the transaction is approved a taxable invoice is displayed which you can print if you wish. Your order will be delivered the next working day, at your chosen delivery time (this assumes the order has been placed and finalised before 10.00 pm)

Groceries4u.com.au does not record any of your order details until you click the 'Enter' button in the last step of the checkout process and the transaction has been approved by your financial institution. This means you can add, modify or remove any items from your shopping cart and are in no way obligated to that order or purchase until you click the 'Enter' button.

In the unlikely event of unauthorised use of your credit card, most banks and card issuers either cover all the charges that result from unauthorised use of your credit card, or may limit your liability to $50.00. In the event of unauthorised use of your credit card, you must notify your card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.

Personal Information Secured

The Groceries4u.com.au site itself uses secured administration areas and password protected user accounts to provide security of your personal details. In addition, a secured database is used to store your personal information to save you having to enter it all again on every order. No credit card details are kept onsite as we use the secure payment gateway known as eSec.

Once you have completed your first order, you are prompted to enter your personal details and to choose a User Identification name and password. It is important to keep your User Id and password confidential. You should change your User Id and password at regular intervals to ensure your user account is not compromised. When you checkout future orders you simply enter your User Id and password. We then retrieve from our secure server the delivery and payment information from your last order and ask you to confirm it is still current. By using the log in section you are also presented with your last order so the online shopping process can be simplified and shortened. You can add, modify or remove any items from your shopping cart and are in no way obligated to that order or purchase until you click the 'Enter' button.

Your name, delivery address, contact phone number, email address, and special delivery instructions assists Groceries 4 U to deliver your order on time to the correct location. Groceries 4 U personnel may contact you by telephone to resolve any questions we might have about your order.
