I have forgotten my password or User Id. What can I do?

If you forget your password or User Id, go to the login area and request a reminder by clicking on the "Click Here" link. An e-mail will be sent to your address with your nominated Groceries4u.com.au password or User Id. Remember that e-mail addresses and passwords are case sensitive. If this still does not work, please call us.

Can I phone through an order?

Absolutely. Ordering from Groceries 4 U is not restricted to just being done via the website. Customers may choose to place their order via phone or fax on 08 8250 2945. If you choose to ring, a staff member from Groceries 4 U may have to phone you back to take the order. You can download a current version of the shopping catalogue by clicking "Print Catalogue" from any of the individual catalogues or if you contact us we can arrange for one to be delivered to you.

If you do not have access to a fax or prefer not to place an order by phone you can post your order form to us at
Groceries 4 U, 16 Gumbrae Avenue, Salisbury Downs SA 5108. Deliveries will be made the next working day after receiving the order via mail.

Do I have to pay by Credit Card?

If you order via the internet you will be prompted for your credit card details. If you enter them, your order will be processed automatically. If you are unable to pay by credit card please contact us on 08 8250 2945 or 0412 773 022, or send an email to orders@groceries4u.com.au to organise alternative arrangements. If you choose to pay Cash on Delivery during the checkout process you will be advised that an email will be sent to you with a link. You must click on this link to confirm your order. If you don't, your order will be unauthorised and will not be fulfilled.

What are the ezines I can sign up for?

We send out the Groceries4u.com.au newsletter when we have specials to announce. The newsletter is full of interesting information and facts. In addition, you can sign up for the weekly recipe ezine which provides delicious recipes each week that are always easy to prepare.

You can choose to subscribe or unsubscribe to it at any time.

Do I need to be home for a delivery?

For orders that do not contain alcohol, we do not require customers to be home for a delivery. Just leave instructions in the "Special Delivery Requests" box provided during the checkout process as to where you would like your order left.

For orders that do contain alcohol, someone 18 years or over must be present to sign for deliveries. Proof of identity (such as a drivers licence or passport) may be required to receive all the goods of a delivery.

The customer may choose to have their order delivered to their home, work or even a neighbour's address.

How do I place an order?

If you wish to commence online shopping simply click on the first catalogue you wish to start shopping from. eg/ Biscuits or Fruit. Of course, you could simply start at the beginning and click "Beer". In the "Enter Quantity" field you will need to enter how many of that item you require. Some items may require the amount of grams you desire. Once you have selected all you require from an individual catalogue click the "Buy" button. You can then continue shopping from another catalogue. Once you have finished shopping altogether click the "Go to Shopping Cart" button to organise payment and delivery of your order.

What is the Checkout Process?

Once you have finished shopping altogether click the "Go to Shopping Cart" button and you will be taken to an itemised summary of your purchases. At this point you can still deselect items or move back to the individual catalogues to select further items. If you are happy with your order then click the "Checkout" button.

The "Checkout" button will first prompt you to enter a User Id and Password. By doing this, you will not have to repeat your delivery information the next time you shop with Groceries 4 U. It will also enable your shopping list to be saved so it can be utilised next time, further saving you time. You will be asked for some general information to assist with delivering your order and asked to enter your Credit Card details for payment. After clicking the "Complete Order" button your details will be authorised with your financial institution. Once this has been done, a Customer Invoice is displayed on screen that can be printed on request.

Ordering product quantities

On each of the individual catalogues is a field entitled "Enter Quantity" where you must enter a number which represents how many of that particular item you wish to purchase. For eg/ 1, 2 or 3. In some cases you will notice the price is displayed by the kilogram. When entering the quantity of these items you need to enter how many grams you desire. For eg/ 300 or 1500 would represent 300 grams or 1.5 kilograms. You will only be charged for the weight you have selected.

Shopping Lists

The contents of your last shopping list is saved for two months, assuming you have logged on using your User Id and Password. This is useful if you have items that you frequently purchase or if your computer crashes part way through an order. If you start the shopping process by Logging in you will be presented with an itemised summary of your last shopping order. You can deselect items or move to the individual catalogues to select further items.

Recipes

Each month you will see a recipe featuring Groceries 4 U products available on the Recipe page. An added advantage is the ability to select all or some of the ingredients required for the recipe from the Recipe page and add them to your shopping cart.

How will my order be packed upon delivery?

To ensure freshness of perishable items we deliver your order in quality export containers. You pay a $9.95 cover charge for the export containers. After the second delivery you will not be charged for the export containers as long as you leave out the containers for us to collect each time. $9.95 will be held in credit against your account to cover the containers the next time around. If you cease using the services of Groceries 4 U and you return your containers to us in good condition we will refund you $9.95.

How can I tell if my site is secure?

When you pay for your order using your credit card, the details are encrypted via our 128 bit secure server. You should notice a tiny padlock symbol in your Toolbar. This is evidence of the secure server. At no stage are credit card details stored and they are transferred encrypted. This means that they are secured against anyone viewing or intercepting the information. This system ensures your details are kept private and confidential.

Is my personal information secure?

When you register with Groceries4u.com.au, your e-mail is used as a reference to your details. A cookie is set in your browser, and you are allocated a Customer Identification number. The web site uses this to identify you when you use the site. An account is also set-up that logs any purchases you make, as well as any credits you may have received. We do not store credit card details with your account information and your personal information is stored in a secure database, password protected by you.

Groceries4u.com.au buys to order. This means that each morning we are selecting for you the freshest, best quality produce available from the markets and our suppliers. These items are then packed and delivered to your door. When it has arrived to you it has received minimal handling. How does On-line Credit Card processing work?

We process your credit card details on-line and in real-time allowing you to know if your order was successful. We accept all major credit cards - Bankcard; Mastercard; Visa; American Express and Diners Club. What happens if the site rejects my credit card?

This can occur if you do not enter your credit card details correctly. If this site reports that the transaction has been denied or declined, please contact your financial institution.

What does this "EFTPOS error" mean?

This will occur if there is a network problem preventing the authorisation of your credit card. The problem usually lies with the processing bureau and the financial institution. If this occurs, under most circumstances the problem is usually fixed within a few minutes. If the problem still persists, please notify us.

What is the minimum order required?

You must place a minimum grocery order of $40.00. If your order is less than $40.00, it will not be processed and you will be advised to "keep shopping".

No minimum purchase is required when selecting alcohol or gift ideas only, however, a delivery fee of $6.50 will be added to your total if the order is less than $40.00.

Products attracting GST will be identified with an (*) on your Tax Invoice. Payments can be made with Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard, Diners Card or American Express. Unfortunately we do not accept cheques.

How do Groceries 4 U prices compare with major supermarkets?

We strive to be as competitive as possible with your local supermarket. You will find most items are comparable with what you are used to paying, some items may be cheaper and some you will pay a little more. As we expand, so too will our buying power, allowing us to provide you with further savings.

What is the policy on returns or missing items?

For any items accidently missing from your order with no accompanying refund or substitution of the item, please notify us immediately on 08 8250 2945 or via email at feedback@groceries4u.com.au. (you must contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order)

If you receive something that does not belong to you, please be honest and let us know.

Is there a delivery charge?

Delivery is free for all grocery orders, however there is a minimum charge of $40.00.

If you purchase only alcohol or gifts then a $6.50 delivery charge will be added to your order if the total is less than $40.00.

What happens if a particular brand of an item is unavailable?

If a particular brand of an item is unavailable at the last minute we will try to replace it with an identical item of another brand of equal or better value. For eg/ you order Duracell C batteries and they are not available, we will substitute with Energiser C batteries.

Where no comparable product is available, we will credit you with the amount of the product and notify you by e-mail that we have not been able to supply the product.

What happens if I place an order over the weekend or after 10.00 pm?

Internet orders placed before 10.00 pm will be delivered the next working day. For example, an order place at 9.00 pm on Tuesday will be delivered on Wednesday but an order placed at 10.30 pm Tuesday will be delivered on Thursday. If you order before 10.00 pm on Sunday night you will receive your order at the designated time on Monday (unless it is a public holiday - there are no deliveries on public holidays).

What if I can not find the product I want?

To assist you with locating a given product we have implemented two product search engines on this site. The first search engine is located on the left hand side of the homepage. You can also search for a product by using the search engine located on every individual catalogue.

What if I wish to purchase a gift item but I live overseas?

Grocery items, beer, wine and spirits have strict delivery locations in metropolitan Adelaide, South Australia. Gift ideas can be delivered anywhere in Australia or overseas either by courier or post, except for the handcrafted candles which are too delicate to post. Gifts will be available for delivery two weeks after the order date. Additional charges exist if posted. Postal charges advised upon application.
