Beef Stroganoff

Preparation time: 15 minutes. Cooking time: 40 minutes. Serves: 4

  Enter Quantity
2 tablespoons oil
500 grams steak cut into thin strips gms
1 medium onion finely chopped gms
2 tablespoons paprika
420 gram tin Mushroom Soup
2 tablespoons tomato sauce
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
150 grams button mushrooms sliced gms
2 tablespoons sour cream
2 tablespoons fresh parsley
500 grams Pasta Shells
 

  1. Heat oil in large saucepan over high heat. Add beef and cook, stirring frequently, for 3 minutes or until brown.
    Remove and set aside. Add onion and cook 2 - 3 minutes or until soft. Add paprika and cook 1 - 2 minutes.
  2. Return beef to pan. Add soup, tomato sauce and Worcestershire sauce and mix well. Stir in mushrooms.
    Bring to boil, reduce heat to medium - low, and simmer uncovered 30 or until meat is tender.
  3. Stir in sour cream and parsley. Serve over cooked pasta.
